I don't need to as I know that preterism is a false premise belief.

Too many unfulfilled prophecies to believe they all were fulfilled already.

I honestly believe Elliot did a good job handling the Preterist arguments for an early date of Revelation using the internal and external evidences. I was blown away at how easily he seemed to do so...and this was back in the 1860's. I had read in the past that Preterism and Futurism were systems created by Jesuits to take the heat off of the Pope (all Prots called him antichrist) but I had no idea both systems were adopted by the Liberal unbelieving German Protestant schools and disseminated into the rest of Protestantism. It's scary how much I don't know. lol
