The way I see it...any presbyterian will be welcome to call this new forum home even if the word presbyterian isn't officially in their denominations name and there are plenty out there. This is why I differentiated in the threads title...by declaring Reformed(NON-Baptist)...it's quite simple and is not offensive in the least, and IMHO people that got offended don't know any better and don't know Presbyerianism, and reacted out of ignorance.

Forget I said anything about Traditional Reformed, or whatever.

And to be honest, there seems to be less than a handful of people here actively supporting this idea anyway...so the ball's in CF's court now...I've said my peace.

Yes.

7. Worthy receivers, outwardly partaking of the visible elements, in this sacrament, do then also, inwardly by faith, really and indeed, yet not carnally and corporally but spiritually, receive, and feed upon, Christ crucified, and all benefits of his death: the body and blood of Christ being then, not corporally or carnally, in, with, or under the bread and wine; yet, as really, but spiritually, present to the faith of believers in that ordinance, as the elements themselves are to their outward senses.

Baptists don't believe in any presence of Christ in the sacrament at all. They don't even believe it is a sacrament but an ordinance. They hold to the symbolic view only.

Does that fit? Is that what you are talking about? (If so, I don't see a real difference with Baptists in this fwiw. But that is another topic for another forum)

FWIW there is just as much difference between Presbyterians and Baptists as there are between Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholics.

The red part actually depends on the baptist. Several of them still believe in a spiritual presence.

The reality is that this EXTREMELY RARE and is not at all normative of the baptist faith in general.
