I don't think "steal" is the right word... maybe "nudge" or "dragoon."

I actually had a hard time between choosing PCA and OPC. The reason why I ended up in PCA is because its closer to my house.

Excellent point, mikey.Baptism, by Francis Schaeffer
The Polemics of Infant Baptism, B.B. Warfield
Institutes -- Paedobaptism, John Calvin
My own view started with one point in particular: the fact that God actually commanded the sign of faith be applied on infants in the Old Testament, and didn't revoke or reverse or attack that command anywhere in the New Testament.
Baptists command that infants not be given the sign of faith. That's a 180deg reversal from any command you can find from God concerning a sign of faith.
Humans made that argument.
God didn't.
Someone else said that to really understand paedobaptism, an understanding of Covenant Theology is a big help, for paedobaptism is within that context.
I'm in a similar position, but I want to see their argument for it.
In fact, I would submit that paedobaptism is untenable outside the framework of Covenant Theology.
Someone else posted it before, thanks. I wish he cited more verses in his dicussion.GD - Did you hear Sproul's three-parter on baptism?

He used broad statements, but I wish he would have approached every verse and given each side perspective on it. I know that's a lot to ask considering he is restricted by time so I know why he approached it the way he did. The way he ended it seemed to me that he said although the issue is important it's not something worth bikiring about (which I agree with).oh yeah... sorry. I see that now.
Cited more verses? I think he addressed just about every passage (either directly or indirectly) of NT Scripture that deals with baptism. Since there's no apparent explicit statement either way on baptizing infants, both sides (credo- and paedo-) must work from all of Scripture's inferences related to baptism to determine what is descriptive versus what is prescriptive.
Better yet, did you listen to the baptism debate between RC Sproul and Alistair Begg! Wonderful and convincing! Sorry fellas, Sproul gets tromped!GD - Did you hear Sproul's three-parter on baptism?
