I don't think any thing like an eclipse could be a sign. OK an eclipse of the Sun, a total one lasts 8 minute max....less depending on where you are.

You want to know a real sign? It got dark when Jesus was on the cross for 3 hours. An eclipse? Nope. The math of what happens with the Sun and Moon don't work that way. I don't know what caused the three hours darkness of Jesus on the cross but that was supernatural. That's what you call a sign.

And according to Scriptures, the sign of Jonah (which points to Christ's death and resurrection) is the only sign fallen man will see! Because it's the only one He needs...

Here in Australia nobody is taking the least bit of notice of the solar eclipse as we won't see it (apart from a few die-hard amateur astronomers that is).

It looks like the conspiracy theories are only happening at ground zero.

Incidentally the fact the moon causes a "perfect solar eclipse" was used to verify Einstein's general theory of relativity.

Convenient isn't it - just as Einstein comes up with a new theory, the moon just happened to be exactly the right size and at the right distance to give a perfect solar eclipse which helped to prove his theory was correct. Just another coincidental bonus?

Nah just watch out for the crazies. One guy on the internet suggests everyone get their guns and shoot at the moon all at the same time , taking down the moon thus saving us all from the dreaded eclipse. I'm telling you man , there's some very unwell people out there.

OK, I am from Europe and I am somehow not able to comprehend this style of thinking. Natural phenomena occurs naturally (thats why we can forecast it happening with such precision), there is no sign or warning of anything in it anymore than in breaking a mirror, in the Friday of 13th or in a black cat crossing the road.

I'm in the US, and can not comprehend Americans thinking process either. It is just an eclipse. We had one in August 2017, and it was no big deal.
