I calculated that I think I'm about 7-8 weeks along right now. Some of the same symptoms I had last time. I can't stand very long without getting really really hot, and I can't have the heat very high in the house, and I can't be standing in front of the heat run in the kitchen to cook. A little dizzy once in awhile, and the headaches are starting to exist. I have been feeling a little nauseous in the mornings, but if I eat, I'm okay. That was the opposite last time - if I ate, I'd just throw it up, pretty much. And morning sickness was full blown at 6 weeks til about 16 weeks. So hopefully that doesn't happen again.

When do you think you'll do your first appointment, epiclesis? :)

I'm a homebirthing mama with a midwife. :)

Last time I had my first appointment at about 6 months.

I don't believe in ultrasounds, or pre-natal testing. So as long as I don't have any signs or symptoms that anything is wrong, I'll probably wait around the same amount of time.

I'm taking my vitamins and eating healthy.... nothing more in preparation than that for me. :)

Neat! I don't think my DH would ever be ok with that, and honestly I don't know if I would either, but the experience sounds amazing. I guess I'm too afraid of the "what-ifs" in life. I had a friend who had her first with an ob in a hospital and just had her second at home and she said it was a world of difference! :)

Well, I'd said I'd write about it all, so here I am :)

Baby is still hanging in there. I have a suspicion that the placenta may have attached to bleed, but we'll see for sure in a few weeks. The bleed is now 7.5cm x 3.5 so it is bigger, but hopefully will disappear... My midwife told me the night I rung her that I'm losing it but we'll scan you tomorrow just in case - I'm sick of being told that as it's the third time I've been told it in 3 weeks now. :(

I put myself on bed rest for the last two days and don't intend to do "much" today (a little but mostly doing errands on the internet and phone calls I have to make - combined with resting!)

I'm kinda over it and dreading the thought of another 30 weeks to be honest... I know it's supposed to be a joy, but currently just worrying and scary, and I know the risk probably won't have disappeared at my 12 week scan like most people....

I also have had to cancel half my uni assessments for this semester as I can't do my early childhood teaching practice...

I'm sorry to hear that the bleed has gotten bigger. :( I don't think it's good that your doctors are telling you that you're losing the baby, when obviously you aren't. Keep up with the "bedrest" even if they aren't telling you to be on bedrest, you need to take care of you and the baby, no matter what! I am praying for you!

Thanks Kelly.

I am not on complete bedrest today, and have even done the dishes and tidied up a bit... As long as the spotting (now) doesn't get worse, i think I'll continue doing about this much.

It is difficult to be on complete bedrest, isn't it? My husband tried to help out while I was laid up, but he just isn't me . . . ;)

Little Natalie is moving like crazy right now. I keep having dreams that I can feel it from the outside though. I wake up ready to yell for dh to put his hands on my stomach so that he can feel, and then I realize that I was dreaming.
