Ahh, thanks! Yep, we are READY! It's so weird to think how quickly this came up on us, hard to believe we're full term this weekend. We're birthing at a hospital, but hoping to go med-free, but we're open to whatever I feel I need when I'm in the moment, lol. Just found out that I'm group B strep positive, so I need to have an IV in, which stinks, but better safe than sorry.

You're getting close too, niffer! eek!

Had a scare today. I had a lot of bleeding and some cramping. Went to the ER and they said there is some bleeding going on but the baby looks just fine. (they gave me an u/s to see what was going on. So praise the Lord He pulled us through!! Now the bleeding has pretty much stopped.

Yup, we're getting very close. These last 9 months are THE fastest I've ever expierenced in my life.
We're doing a hospital birth too, and I think I'll be getting my swab next week.
IV's do stink, but you're right! Better safe!
I still need to do my hospital tour and get the paperwork done, probably this week.
For some reason I just feel I'm going to be early...guess I'll find out!! :D

Thanks so much everyone! What a journey it's been... I was technically 6 days behind my dates by hospital dates which is the date confusion...

I went in at 27+6 in labour, they finally managed to slow then pretty much end the contractions (were 2 mins apart at one stage, fully dialated with membranes bulging), and they were about 20 mins apart until 29 weeks exactly. I felt funny at about 5pm and rang my bell for the midwife to come who said nothing was wrong, but she'd get a doctor... She scanned me and said baby had turned breech (feet and hands first!) and my waters were bulging and I was dilated again and within 10 mins contractions started, and 3 hours later he was born by c-section cos of being footling breech. I have to have c-sect every time now as it was a classical one due to him being small.

Jesiah is doing incredible! He's now solely milk fed (via a tube) and is off CPAP for a few hours each day.

Niffer...hope your test comes back negative for GBS!

Angelsamongus... so glad to hear you and LO are OK! Did the doctor say if it's a SCH or something? How scary!

Hannah, Jesiah sure is a little fighter! He's made a lot of progress in just one week, how amazing! Remember a year ago when we were concerned that neither of us would ever get pregnant, and now we're having our babies?!?!?!? How crazy! Your family is in my prayers for sure, and can't wait to hear about bringing your little boy home soon! :)

I've been woken up in the night once with a good lower-abdomenal contraction, but mostly I just have been getting braxton hicks.

I am so excited to meet our little one!
We have two new favourite names: Eloise and Lily...I was pushing for Juniper, and almost got it too! ;) Ah well, Eloise is one of my favourites and Lily in french is pronounced adorably. :D

Any favourites or have you picked yet, Kelly??

I thought my days of posting in this thread were over, but we're well on our way to baby #4 now! :)

Niffer - I love the name Lily if this baby is a girl, but DH vetoed it b/c of an ex-girlfriend. *grumble* LOL Other than that, we aren't really thinking about names yet until we find out if it's a boy or a girl in the next month or so.

Has anyone heard from Erin? I'm assuming she's probably had her baby by now, but maybe I missed an announcement?

No, you didn't miss an announcement! I had Natalie 6 days early. She was born on June 22 at 10:22 PM. 7 lb. 13 oz, 20 and 3/4 inches.

I had a trans-lateral episiotomy and I tore, so I was already in for a longer recovery . . . and then some of my stitches burst. I was on the sofa unable to do much of anything for two weeks. I'm finally back on my feet more or less.

Being a mom is great, but breast feeding is not exacting having a love affair with me, lol!

I can't seem to upload a picture here, but there are a few on my blog with more to be added soon! Bring the Rain

Congrats! She's beautiful - you all make a lovely family. :)

Breastfeeding can be daunting, for sure! Have you spoken with a lactation consultant about the issues you are having?
