  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

(Rom.8:28-31) "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"

(Eph.1:5-6) "Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the Beloved:"

(Eph.1:11-14) "In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will: that we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ. In Whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in Whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory."

God in His infinite wisdom, infinite love, grace, and mercy foreknew and predetermined that all mankind would need a Saviour in order to obtain eternal salvation through Christ Jesus, before "the beginning of the world."

Before somebody jumps on me in disagreement---let me say this...I know that NOT ALL WILL BE SAVED from eternal seperation from Him because this fact is in His Written Word of Truth.

Predestination is in the mind of God as He alone knows what choice man will make with regard to a response to His Sons finished work on Calvary.
That is true Eph ... on the other hand for some reason God found it proper to tip his hand some so that we might understand His purpose.

foundinHim you would find the books by Luther "Freedom of the Will" interesting ...

... As well as the great thesis by Jonathan Edwards "Into The Modern Prevailing Notions Of That Freedom Of Will".

I have both in soft-copy so PM me if you want one you can print out for study.
