• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

...the church is much stricter and will cast out those who have thoughtfully dissenting questions. (A friend of mine was asking too many questions and she feared being expelled)

Are you talking about The Catholic Church here?

Oh, oh oh!!! I forgot one!

Mormon's are inspired to have as many children as they can because when they are born, they have the same amount of children who populate other worlds in their spiritual bodies!

How could I forget that one!!!

Doc: Hey daveleau, you do know why Mormon women stop having children after 44 don't you?

Cuz 45 is just too many kids. ;)

Sorry ED. Just could not resist. Now back to the regularly scheduled thread.

FB: I just have been reading some of the posts I have missed, and found this statement by Happy. It is not only false, but very offensive and totally uncalled for. To portray LDS chapels smelling like dirty diapers and cheap cologne is really just, well I am shocked. I have been going to church for 28 years on a regular basis, and very rarely have I ever smelled a dirty diaper. Cheap cologne is different. I wear it proudly.
fatboys, I did not make a false statement here. It is a very true statement of my own experiences in the past with LDS chapels. I do realize though that what I said, I should have kept to myself and that it was offensive and inappropriate for the forum and discussion at hand. I am sorry I offended you and any other LDS on the board with what I have said. Please forgive me for this.

I am surprised that no one has replied to this. We all make mistakes, but not all have the courage and humility required to admit it when they make one, and apologize. I respect someone who is willing to do so. Apparently not all are willing to forgive either, but I know that is what we are commanded to do.

Edit to add: I'm not LDS, but you already know that I have forgiven you for anything that was said. We all make mistakes.
