“Lord Jesus, I continue to come before you on behalf of those that struggle with the revelation of Who You really are. Lord, I pray that the inward eye of our people‘s lives (saved or lost) would be enlightened. Help our people know the hope of Your calling for their lives. Help them to grasp what the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints are. God we need a revelation and understanding that Your power toward us who believe is surpassingly great in accordance with the working of the strength of Your might. Holy Spirit, teach us and instruct us on how to place our burdens and our battles upon Your shoulders. Please fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual understanding and wisdom. Help us to be a people who walk in a manner worthy of You Lord. Our desire is to please you in all respects and bear fruit in every good work. But Lord, we need to grow in our knowledge of Who You are... please take the blinders off of our inner eyes. Amen”

Heavenly Father,

I thank you for this new day. Thank you for being such a wonderful God to your people. Thank you for the blessings that you pour out into our lives daily, even when we have been unfaithful to you. Father, thank you for all the victories you have allowed us by your hand. Thank you for all the failures too because in them we have drawn closer to you and discovered your heart. Father, thank you for all the wonderful friends, family and loved ones that you have placed in our lives. Thank you also for our enemies because through them we have learned how to love and forgive and extend your mercy. Father thank you for each and every member of this group. Thank you for their loved ones. Thank you for their families. Thank you for their enemies. Thank you for their employers and co-workers. Thank you for their church leaders. Thank you for their political leaders. Thank you for each and every precious soul. Today Father, we stand together in Christ Jesus, your Son, our Lord, Savior and soon coming King. Together, Father we lift up each and every soul represented here to your throne of grace. Together, Father, we pray that you would minister to each and every heart. We pray that you would remove the hardness from their hearts, the scales from their eyes, and the stoppers from their ears. We pray that you would minister to them by your Holy Spirit for your word says that no man comes to you except the Spirit draws them. We pray that you would draw each and every one of them into your kingdom Father. We pray that you would grant them greater measures of grace while there is still time. We pray that you would open doors for us to minister to them at the leading of your Spirit, Father. We know that you have a wonderful plan for each and every one and that you are not willing that one should perish but that all should come to repentance and salvation through Christ Jesus. Father, we pray that their names would be written in the Book of Life. We pray that on that great and glorious day, that they will hear you say, well done, good and faithful servant. Make a way where there seems to be no way Father and anoint us to go forth and be all that you have called us to be in Jesus' name.

Father, for those of us who are hurting, I pray that you would heal. For those of us who are confused, I pray that you would clearly direct our paths. For those of us who are doubting, I pray for greater measures of faith. For those of us who are seeking, I pray for greater understanding and wisdom. For those of us who are weak, I pray for greater measures of strength. For those of us who are sick, I pray for divine healing. For those of us who are lost, I pray for the leading of your Holy Spirit to lead us all home.

But most of all Father, I pray that your will would be established in the hearts and lives of each and every soul represented here in the beautiful and matchless name of Jesus. Amen

Let us stand together corporately and believe together for each and every soul connected to each and every member of this group to be saved and redeemed for the kingdom of God for His glory!

God bless you all!

Dear LORD I pray for revival world wide.. and ask for YOU to send laborers into the harvest of souls who so desperately need to hear the gospel... LORD I pray that especially in spots around the world where there is persecution and low numbers of believers that revival breaks out there.. LORD give workers and believers in these countries boldness and leading by the HOLY SPIRIT to speak words and give prophecy to people to help them who are blind to see and repent.. LORD I pray for signs and wonders or whatever will help the lost to be found.. and the unsaved to be saved.. LORD I pray for miracles of deliverance and great numbers of souls turning to the LORD around our world.. in the hardest of hearts.. a softening to JESUS and HIS message of love.. I pray that more believers go to the difficult places with a burning heart for the gospel to be preached.. amen

Father GOD I pray for the elderly today... those who are yes.. in poverty.. abandoned.. and confused and in pain.. LORD meet them where they are.. send laborers into their harvest.. LORD let a kind smile.. or gentle touch.. or ray of sunshine.. or bird outside a window.. just alert them that life is precious.. LORD let them see YOU.. and remember something about YOU from days past.. LORD open their minds and hearts and souls to remember something YOU did for them.. a scripture.. a song.... something that was once said to them that might make them remember YOU.. LORD anything that reminds them of YOU.. Let them find joy for joy of the LORD is our strength and it lifts burdens that their frail bodies need not carry.. Let them taste and see that YOU are good and find you in the most desolate of places.. and let them be loosed from any bondages.. so that they can shine YOUR light right there and be aware that YOU are with them.. no matter the circumstances because YOU are with them right there and YOU love them and care about them and want to set them free.... Halleujah glory to GOD.. amen

Defend the Front Line!
by Heidi Swander

I was stunned recently by the story of a pastor from Brazil. One day in the not-....too-distant past he was airborne and seated next to a lady who, at 6 p.m., began praying fervently. When an opportune moment presented itself, he asked her if she was a Christian. Much to his chagrin she said, no, that she was praying to her father, Satan, for the demise of pastor so-and-so.

As the conversation progressed, this Brazilian pastor found out that the Church of Satan worldwide has set aside the 6 p.m. hour every day to pray for the demise of the Christian church, and most specifically for its pastors. It would also appear that they assume or are assigned specific Christian leaders to pray against.

Now think about this for a moment: It is always 6 p.m. somewhere in the world. So 24 hours a day "prayers" are being directed to the god of this world for the destruction of Christian pastors and the churches they shepherd. What does this mean?

It means we darn well better get on our knees -- and particularly for our pastors! When I consider this story in light of the way churches that were once solid, biblically-....sound bastions of truth have gone into doctrinal and moral free fall, I can now understand what has been happening.

How has the Emergent Church completely consumed much of what we call Christianity today? Do you know any pastor who has stepped down from his position (or been forcibly removed) because of immorality? What about those dear pastors who simply become exhausted with the strain of shepherding and walk away from the ministry? A pastor from the 17th century, Gardener Spring, once wrote, "It is no marvel that the pulpit is so powerless and ministers so often disheartened when there are so few to hold up their hands. The consequence of neglecting this duty is seen and felt in the spiritual declension of the churches and it will be seen and felt in the everlasting perdition of men . . ."

God's warning to believers is, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (I Peter 5:8). This warning is more critical than we have probably ever considered.

Satan is our accuser (Rev. 12:10). He schemes to make us fall (Eph. 6:11). He sets snares to entangle us (I Tim. 3:7; II Tim. 2:26).

Until we reach our heavenly home, we are all in a fierce, spiritual battle. In that battle, our pastors and other spiritual leaders would be considered the front line against Satan and his minions. How to fight against the forces of evil? God says the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh (II Cor. 10:4). We must PRAY.

Pastor John MacArthur in his message, A Plea to Pray for Pastors, says, "We need to remember that prayer is battle; it wages war not against God but against the status quo, against sin and fallenness and the flesh and devils." In Rom. 15:30, 31, Paul directs the Christians to "strive together with" him in prayer. In Col. 4:2 he admonishes the church to "continue earnestly in prayer." The word "continue" says that he took for granted their prayers; the word "earnestly" means to be "courageously persistent" or "to hold fast and not let go." This praying is hard work. But we are commanded repeatedly to do it.

So how do we pray for our pastor? Scripture provides the answer! We should pray that God will:

USE HIM to spread God's Word and that it will be received with honor (II Thess. 3:1).
DELIVER HIM from those who oppose him and the gospel (II Thess. 3:2; Romans 15:30, 31).
GIVE HIM opportunities to share the Word and the whole gospel (Col. 4:2-4).
MAKE HIM bold and faithful to continue proclaiming the gospel no matter what the cost (Eph. 6:19, 20).
GIVE HIM godly knowledge and insight (Eph. 1:8) so that he can grasp the greatness of the hope (Rom. 8:29; I John 3:2) and the inheritance that is his in Christ (Eph. 1:17, 18).
HELP HIM to understand God's great power that is always available to him (Eph. 1:18, 19).
GIVE HIM peace in the midst of the storms that come upon him (II Thess. 3:16; Phil. 4:6, 7).
BE GLORIFIED as he walks worthy of the calling he's been given (II Thess. 1:12).

Also we must pray that he:

DRESSES IN the complete armor of God every day (Eph. 6:10-18); and,
BEHAVES consistently with his identity in Jesus Christ (II Thess. 1:11).

MacArthur says, "We are called upon... to pray agonizingly on behalf of spiritual leaders... tapping the power of prayer for God's Kingdom sake and the ministry of those anointed and faithful servants who stand in the place of Jesus Christ as His agents, ambassadors, and spokesmen leading the battle against evil."

God did promise that the gates of Hell would not prevail against the church (Matt. 16:18). Praise the Lord! But we are in a battle and the servants of the enemy are actually praying for the church's demise and that of the men who lead it. Can we do less than obey the command of Scripture to pray for the triumph of the church and its leaders?

(Note from Jan: I wish to add to Heidi's important points that a nation is only as strong as her churches are strong. The enemy has made inroads to such a signficant degree that a solid gospel is not preached in many churches. Thus the saints are really not equipped to deal with this incredible generation in which we live. I would have to add to her points that pastors must understand that this generation requires a strong biblical message week after week, not book reports and fill-....in-the-blank sermons. Christians today can only be "salt and light" if they are consistently being fed the pure Word of God, not "happy talk" to make people "feel" better. This is fading quickly from American and other Western pulpits. God is more than love. He also sends judgment and holds us accountable.)

How to Pray for an Unsaved Loved One

People often get discouraged when praying for the salvation of loved ones and begin to wonder if their prayers ever really help. Well, guess what? Yes! Your prayers can be a powerful force in the lives of your unsaved relatives and friends if you know how to pray for them according to the wisdom and Word of God.
The problem is that most Christians don’t know how to pray with skill. They just throw prayers in every direction and hope something comes of it. That’s especially true when it comes to praying for the lost. It’s not uncommon to see believers praying for friends or loved ones to get saved for 20, 30 or even 40 years without results.

What exactly are these people praying? It usually boils down to something like this: “Oh, God, please save my brother. He needs to be saved.” (Don’t you think God knows he needs saving?) Then they might go a step further and start rehearsing their brother’s sins: “Lord, he got drunk again last night and we had to bail him out of jail again. If You don’t save him, he’s going to drive us all crazy!”

That may sound funny—the example is a little extreme to make a point—but many of us have prayed prayers that sounded something like that.
What we haven’t understood is this: There’s nothing wrong with your unsaved loved one (or any other unsaved person) except the devil. No human being who truly understood the salvation Jesus has offered to us would reject that salvation of his own free will. No one!
Why, then, are so many people sill unsaved? Second Corinthians 4:4 tells us it is because “the god of this world [the devil] hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
Once you realize it’s the devil (not your loved one) who’s the real problem, your first prayer step becomes clear. You must get the devil out of your loved one’s way.
As Jesus said, “How can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man?” (Matthew 12:29). You can’t! So bind him.

Say, “You spirit operating in the life of my loved one, blinding ________ to the gospel to keep ________ out of the kingdom of God, I bind you now. I belong to the Lord Jesus Christ. I carry His authority and righteousness, and in His Name I command you to desist in your maneuvers. I spoil your house according to the Word of God and I enter into it to deliver my loved one from your hands.”
Now, you may not be able to cast that devil entirely out of the situation, because your loved one may invite him back in faster than you can cast him out. But you can bind that spirit and keep it bound. It may keep you busy for a while, but you can do it.
You’ll find your next prayer step in Matthew 9:37-38. There, Jesus was looking out at the multitudes who needed ministry and He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

It’s the Word of God that brings faith for salvation: “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17). So you need to see to it that the Word gets into your loved one’s heart.
“How?” you say, “My loved one won’t listen to me!”
Probably not, but God knows who your loved one will listen to, and He’ll send that person halfway around the world to talk to your loved one if necessary.
So pray to the Lord of the harvest: “Father, I’m asking You to send laborers across ________’s path, laborers who are equipped with the Word of God about salvation, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, healing and deliverance. Send laborers who can communicate effectively with ________ so Your Word can reach his/her heart.”

Once you’ve prayed for your loved one like that, from then on, put your faith in action by treating your loved one like he’s/she’s saved. Don’t treat your loved one like he’s/she’s not good. On the contrary, every time you see your loved one, say, “Praise God! Isn’t it good to know Jesus?” Then just stand back and watch how things change. You’ll be amazed.
It’s happened many times. And it can happen that way for you and your loved one. So don’t give up. Get smart! Start praying according to the Word and praying by faith…and you will see the salvation of the Lord!
Here is a sample prayer for your unsaved loved ones. As you speak God’s Word, remember that it will not return to Him void. It will prosper in the thing whereto it is sent (Isaiah 55:11):
“Father, I come before You in prayer and in faith, believing. Your Word says You desire all men to be saved and come into the knowledge of the truth, so I bring ________ before You this day.

“I break the power of Satan from his assignments and activities in ________’s life in the Name of Jesus. Now, while Satan is bound, I ask that You send forth the perfect laborers to share the good news of the gospel in such a way that ________ will listen and understand it. As the truth is ministered, I believe ________ will open his/her eyes to the gospel, come out of the snare of the devil and make Jesus Lord.
“Father, I ask that You fill ________ with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. As I intercede in his/her behalf, I believe that the power of the Holy Spirit is activated, and from this moment on, I shall praise and thank You for ________’s salvation. I am confident that You are alert and active, watching over Your Word to perform it. It will not return to You void. It will accomplish that which You please and prosper in the thing whereto it was sent.
“Therefore, my confession of faith is: ‘God has begun a good work in ________’s life and He will perform it and bring it to full completion until the day of Jesus Christ, in Jesus’ Name.’”
