Praying for healing

SO - as the Centurion (who RECOGNIZED Jesus' authority) said to Jesus: "speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed."

So then by the same token:If you've got the authority to speak healing to my heart condition -

Go ahead and do it. I'm ready. I'll recognize the change when it happens, and give testimony of it.

39 And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads 40 and saying, “You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself! If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.”

41 Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders,[h] said, 42 “He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.[j] 43 He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

Something wrong here folks. Y'all need to back up and rethink your ways of doing things. Daring others for 'proof' is not at all a good thing to be doing.

There is power in the name.
I know in the name he is made whole,he just needs to receive in in faith.

Hey there Bob, sorry to hear about all the heart issues you have had over the years. Here is something for you to consider. Notice in the verse regarding the centurion, it was the centurion that needed to speak NOT Jesus or anyone else. YOU need to speak it (believe) and it shall be done. Remember what Mark 11:24 says, “ASK AND BELIEVE that you HAVE received” This is what having faith is all about. Believing that you have something (G_d’s promises) even though you don’t see it. These scriptures make it clear that this is how it works.

Romans 4:17

Hebrews 11:1-39
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do NOT see.

Here is an illustration that may help, if you bought a watch online and it had not yet arrived, you could still stay you own a watch even though it had not yet arrived. And in our case Jesus PAID for the watch (healing – Isa 53:5) and all we have to do is believe that is true. Sounds so simple, but it is a real challenge to get our brain to accept the fact and keep unbelief in check.

As far as authority, if you have given your life to Christ, YOU have the authority Luke 10:19

“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you”

And lastly, you comment “I'll recognize the change when it happens” is a clear statement of unbelief. I prefer not to say a lack of faith because I believe we all have been given enough faith to move mountains (Matt 17:20), it is our lack of belief (Matt 13:58) that counter acts are faith thus reducing our faith.

Matt 17:20
Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”

Matt 13:58
And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.

Not saying anyone is a pharisee nor am I looking to condemn anyone, but simply saying, "Whoa Nelly! Let's back up and rethink this."

Ahh we do the best we can,I told two people today who were complaining about how sick they were Through Christ you have your healing.

They blew it off like I was from Mars.

People have more faith in Wal-Mart than their being healed.
I will not be discouraged,our Lord has never failed me, and I will do my best to witness.
