Praying and fasting to encounter God?

I Fasted And Prayed For 7 Days To Encounter God

Please watch the video.

This guy tried it but failed. No results.

Should I try it and see if it works?

Seek and you will find it says, but fasting probably isn't a good idea for a non christian, since the benefits christian get are related to having the spirit of God in you i think, would be better if you go to a church where they believe in being filled with the Holy spirit, and they seek Gods power, and talk to the pastor/minister if you want to encounter God, God manifests a lot better when his people are in gatherings, especially in a church where God and his presence is doing things.
