I need prayers. Many years ago I was diagnosed with MS but have been symptom free for about 18 years, and it’s been about 4 or 5 years since my last MRI.

I’ve been having some weird symptoms lately and am scheduled for 6 MRIs on Wednesday. Head, cervical spine and thoracic spine without contrast then all three again with contrast.

I’m scared I’m going to have a panic attack that day, I’m scared of being in the MRI machine (anxiety and claustrophobia) and I’m scared of what the results will be.

Please pray for no anxiety attacks and good results.

My first experience in one of those was a dozen years ago. It was like a cannon. My back wanted me in a fetal position and I had to instead be ramrod strait. I was crying in pain. But hey, the results confirmed I should have surgery and that fixed my back.

I had a set of contrast MRIs two months ago in a very different machine. Airy and comfortable. And the Iodine ended up giving me an oddly pleasant rush that left me energized for a couple of days.

I’m praying for you.

Resolve to pray the entire time in the machine, slowly, treasuring the holy Truth of each word and phrase and sentence of each prayer: the Our Father, the Hail Mary, the Glory Be, and repeat, fixing your attention on the sure hope in the Holy Truth and Promises of God who saves and transforms us - and His Holy Mother with Him, and with us.
