  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Sometimes I get into thought patterns where I feel intense hatred for a group of people (I won't say who exactly because I don't want people to get distracted with their own feelings about this group). I know these thoughts are completely un-Christian because Jesus taught us to love our enemies, not to hate them. Please pray that God would change my heart and help me to love this group of people unconditionally.

Just pray for them.
And saying "NO" to these thoughts (taking such thoughts, "captive", IOW) @William J, can be very helpful too (2 Corinthians 10:5), as soon as such thoughts begin to enter your mind, again and again sometimes, whatever is necessary.

Praying for you!

God bless you!!

p.s. - I believe that the above is perhaps the principal way that we obey the command found in the following verse, and the path, then, that leads to receiving the wonderful promise that comes along with that command too :)

James 4
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil .. and he will flee from you.
