In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey guys,
Things are pretty down in my life right now but... something tells me things are going to start picking up, but what do I know. I live in the ghetto, I'm laid off, I've mismanaged my friendships and I don't have the leverage to be a source of positivity I wanted to be. There's too much negativity in my environment.

The only thing keeping me going right now is God and the fact that I'm trying to put these songs together. It's an outlet for me. I'm an aspiring singer/songwriter but no one believes in me. I'm trying so hard to put these songs together, in spite of my poverty and discouragement from peers. Please, pray that my life gets better and that my musical efforts are not in vain.

Hi Willmeister,

God bless you and may this truly be a Happy New year for you. Reading what you have written, I thought of Job, a man who had everything and then lost it all. And although he was very cast down and said some things about God that he shouldn't have done, God never deserted him and when the right time came He corrected Job and restored him.
"So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: ......." Job 42:12a

God has a plan and purpose for your life. Trust Him, lean hard upon Him. The following is a verse from Job, and Matthew Henry's comment on it.

"But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;" Job 35:10 ( But none saith - That is, none of the oppressed and down-trodden say. This is the solution which Elihu gives of what appeared so mysterious to Job, and of what Elihu regarded as the source of the bitter complaints of Job. The solution is, that when people are oppressed they do not apply to God with a proper spirit, and look to him that they may find relief.)

I pray that God will bless you and enable you to sing for Him, in the midst of all the trials and difficulties of your situation.

God sees your efforts and i know that all will be ok anytime soon. keep on making your music for God knows that you're offering it all to HIM,
if other people rejects you,God wouldn't.

You say that no one believes in you, you say you are an aspiring singer/songwriter, so good cause it shows that you believe in God because you are here asking for prayer, it shows that you believe in following your dream and with God helping to make it a reality.

Father God, make this one a man after Your own heart. May You encourage him and grant him all that he is needing to become a success with his songs and vocal talents, according to thy plan for him. In the mean time provide him and his family their financial needs and bless them in this New Year, In Jesus Name, Amen.
