  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

WE've altered the Guardian Angel prayer to say just before bed (along with the Prayer to St. Michael):
Angel of God,
My guardian dear,
To whom God's love commits me here,
Ever this night be at my side,
To light and guard,
To rule and guide.
Amen.

We say those prayers before bed from the day they are born. And I bless their little beds with holy water.

This is the best news that I have had all day. Praise God. I know that you and Nicolle love your perfect and beautiful baby no matter what and that he/she would be perfect and beautiful and a blessing and a gift no matter what.

I remember when my oldest and youngest were born, I was always waking up in the middle of the night making sure that they were okay. In fact... don't tell anyone... LOL but they both slept next to me in their bassinet the first 5 months. I wouldn't leave their side. LOL

God's peace,

Deb

This is a beautiful prayer Shannon. It gives me peace reading it now.

I saw those baby position pillows that keep the baby on the back and help cut down on SIDS because they don't get stuck on their bellies and such.

I said to Nicolle..."We should get like 5 of those." She told me she loved me and I was an idiot. :) I said I was aware.
LOL! Most people would be horrified at how we sleep.... there's too many blankets and too many pillows and we're all just in a heap on each other :sorry: My whole parenting philospphy revolves around doing the least amount of work possible.

LOL! I can't seem to get my kids out of our room until they're like two or so....since I am not pregnant now and Andrew is almost 2, I have no pressure to hurry him out of our room--so who knows how long he'll be in there!! HE does have his own bed in there, but comes into our bed at some point 5 nights out of 7.

Thanks so very much.

One of the things is that the emergency sonogram (that we don't have to take now) was scheduled for the day we had the miscarriage two years ago. When I saw the date I knew that, without logic or any reason, that it was a sign. In my heart I know the baby's older brother Michael put in a few prayers.

Praying! Aaron and I actually refused the quad screen, because friends of ours fretted over what ended up being a false positive for downs.

But, no matter what the outcome your child is a blessing from God. My brother has classic autism, and he has been an incredible blessing not just to our family but to everyone that meets him :)

Praying also for all 3 of you, Davidnic!:crossrc:

My youngest son has autism, he is six years old now. And he is definitely a blessing. And of all of my children, he is the only one that God told me was coming, ahead of time. He knows what He is doing, for each and every one of us.
