Hi All,
I've been studying the Reformed understanding of prayers related to those who have passed on. The Westminster Confession plainly asserts prayers for the dead are not allowed, but I don't see anything in the Belgic Confession or the Heidelberg Catechism about prayers for the dead. I do see a rejection of the "invocation of the saints," but that's not the same thing, obviously. Anyone know where in the BC or the HC I can find teachings about prayers for the dead?
