Prayers for my cousin

Dear Friends,

I ask that you please keep my cousin Theresa in prayer. Although Theresa comes from a very pious Catholic family, lately she has been reading a lot of material by Esther Hicks (best known for her book, "The Secret") and has had some very un-orthodox (small "o") thoughts, feelings, and beliefs towards God.

Her views are more pantheistic than Christian, and I fear that she is turning further and further away from our Lord.

In a recent conversation, she tried sharing her views with me. When I gently told her that I don't agree/accept her views, she got extremely agitated and annoyed that anyone would disagree with her.

While I know that I can't change her, I ask that you please pray that she will come back to the truth that can only be found in Christ.

Thank you all for your prayers. These self proclaimed "guru's" are nothing but recycled heresy in new wrapping paper. I just wish that she would see it for what it is, as oppossed to some "new" way of the world.

Praying...."The Secret" seriously annoys me.

My friend's sister (who was raised Orthodox) is into this stuff... I had never heard of it before, but she kept spouting off all these weird sayings and so I had a look around and couldn't believe that people buy into this stuff. But it seems that when they do buy into it, they really buy into it. Lord have mercy on Theresa, and bring her to the truth.

A couple years ago she started reading "The Good Earth" by Deepak Chopra and some books by Joel Olstein and mentioned to me how she didn't believe that a loving God would damn any of his creation, so she rejected the idea of hell.

Now she tells me she doesn't believe any of us are ever meant to endure any suffering, and any suffering we endure is brought on by our own negative thoughts.

It's all rather crazy if you ask me. And troublesome.
