  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

23 March 2018 – Eritrea
Last July, 16 girls in their late-teens who were on national service were detained in Metkel Abiet prison camp in Eritrea – as were other Christians and relatives who tried to visit them. Pray that God will be close to these young women.

Fikadu Debesay died in custody in Eritrea within three months of her arrest in Adi Quala in May: her son and husband remain in jail, while her three other children are left without either parent. Pray this family will be reunited soon.

21 March 2018 – Eritrea
In May, security officials went from house to house in Adi Quala in southern Eritrea, arresting 25 adults and 12 children, all members of the Kale Hiwot Church. Many adults remain in custody.

There are parts of the world where being Christian truly is a portrayal of absolute faith by those people, because the persecution that Christians in such countries experience is dreadful. It is a testament to God's power upon our brothers and sisters across the world that no matter what, they will continue to have faith and face ignorance, abuse, persecution and even violence with absolute conviction of said faith in and resolute love for our Lord Jesus Christ.

Daily prayer for Eritreans and all our brothers and sisters facing persecution across the world should be standard, in my opinion. Thank you for posting this.
