  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello Brothers and Sisters,
How wonderful to discover this site. Happy to be onboard. I'm Dave and I live in New York. Did any of you get to see the very inspiring tv film "Prayers for Bobby" recently? I found it to be very well done and engrossing. Finally a main stream movie that shows Christians in a worthy light rather than as closeminded and unable to allow the Holy Spirit to cure them of their ignorance and fear. I was impressed by Sigourney Weaver's performance as a mother who condemns her son for being a homosexual based upon her understanding of the Bible - but after his tragic suicide she allows the Holy Spirit to guide her and open her eyes to see that God has created ALL people and that God loves all of his creations perfectly and unconditionally. Once the mother is cured, she is able to spread the Lords message of Love to others. I hope Lifetime will run the film again if you didn't get a chance to see it. It's worth watching and discussing. Blessings to all!
Dave
