Sister Gail,

Thanks sincerely for your prayers. 6:00 AM in the morning comes early, and I'll be happy to have this over with. I'll probably be ordered to stay in bed one or more days, depending on what they have to do. I'll go home that same day if they don't have to do anything. Regardless, I know that God will be with me. I did the pre-op and signed all the papers today. The nurses told me this is routine procedures that they do every day.

It turns out that I was a heart attack waiting to happen - one 80% blockage and one 90% blockage. Both were fixed with stents, and I'm already home from the hospital. I have two new prescriptions to take and a new diet. I give thanks, and I again thank those who prayed for me. It hasn't been that long ago that I would have had open heart surgery. I also give thanks for great doctors, nurses, and facilities. Most of all I give thanks to God and know that He was with me. My Cardiologist gave me a keepsake - pictures before and after the blockages. I'm amazed at what they can do these days.

I have shared one on one with some of you but would like to put it here in the Prayer Requests thread as well. My request is for a friend who is battling cancer once again. She is requiring more chemo and is starting a new kind. She is in extreme pain and is very discouraged. By nature she is a very positive person. She and hubby are fairly new Christians although both have been church goers a long time. I pray for spiritual support from their church God's peace to cover them supernaturally and for this cancer to be beaten once and for all. I was thinking about Jesus the other day and realized he never put sickness on anyone to help them learn a lesson or to make them humble he only healed them. Satan brings sickness for out destruction but God works all things for his glory and one thing that glorifies him is healing. Just read the gospels and the book of acts. We are in a battle with the enemy God is always with us. Blessings. Thanks for taking this need to your Heavenly Father I know it will be an encouragement to Gayle knowing that people she doesn't even know who are praying.

Mom, boyfriend wanted after boy, 3, found beaten, burned

His mother and BF are on the run to avoid facing charges for their heinous crime. :o

This poor baby has lost his sight from the head trauma; imagine what he has endured!!

Praying for his full recovery...in body, mind, and spirit, and for placement in a LOVING home.

Please pray for our neighbour 'David'

After several years of failing health, and blood infections
David, has now been diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer
The doctors are thinking in terms of months [not years]
and have started him on smallest dose of Morphine

David, is in his early 80's

David ceased smoking over 30 years ago, and this diagnosis
has been a total shock, to him and his wife 'Shirley'

Shirley asked us [this morning] to sit with David, when she needs to attend hospital chiropodist
["in case he moves and falls ~call ambulance service, to pick him up"]
because David, can only walk with supportive-assistance

David's downturn has been surprisingly rapid, and I don't know if he is a christian [I will soon!]
But he has such a nice and gentle personality, it is something I could take for granted


For their strength and emotional comfort, to walk the walk they are given
