CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi everyone. My son is in the process of buying a house and he just found out that, even though he was pre-approved he's having a problem with the financing. Please be praying that things will fall into place for him.

I'd like to ask for prayers for my babybear ( Elisabeth). She is having a really rough time right now. She was really happy and upbeat last week, and due to a misunderstanding with a friend, is spiraling downward, and wanting to give up again. I know God will never give up on her, and neither will I. Please pray for her. Thanks!

Been there done that with mortgages. My prayers are with him. It can cause a few gray hairs.....God bless

Babybear is doing better. I think she has made up with the friend I do have another request, though....for babybear
Please pray for my precious daughter in law, as she is going through some rough times. She has some physical ailments that she is going to have surgery to correct in a couple weeks (not sure the date yet, I'll let you know when I find out) She is also having a really hard time with Jamey being gone like he is. Yes, she knew he was going when they got together. But, it doesn't make it any easier. Please keep her in your prayers, for her body and her mind.

I have a serious request as well tonight:
Some of you know my real mom is in another state recooperating from a bad fall. She may or may not be able to go back to her own home. Long story, but prayers are needed still. And I still need the airfare to go home.
BUT....
Now, I find my stepmom whom my dad was married to for longer than he was with my mom and I think of as my other mom, has had a stroke and I had the paramedics come get her today. She is in the ER. I would have stayed there, but my brother thought we ought to get some sleep, too.
They are also being evicted any day now from their apt. and her military check comes Wed., but I don't know what to do for them yet. Thinking...
I need clarity, strength, also.
I did call my pastor and they are praying, too and will help if need be. It is a very small church that I used to go to for years.

I got hit with the flu on top of this; I do not want my stepmom losing her stuff either.
I think there is some hope of her regaining some of her abilities.
I was too sick to get to the hospital and missed the doctor's call and they do not leave specifics on the answering machine.
