  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My wife has been disabled for years, but has been told by the Social Security Administration that she does not have enough worked hours on her record to qualify for SSA/Disability. So she never bothered applying for disability. Recently we were told that she could apply for SSA/Disability under my worked hours as my wife. So she has finally applied for the benefits. Pray that God will provide us with the benefits, as my income is just not sufficient to meet all of our expenses. Thanks. Also, there are rumors of layoffs at work. Pray I keep my job, as we have no savings to fall back on after my layoff two years ago from my previous job. Thanks. :prayer:

You've got it hillbilly.

:crosseo: Dear Heavenly Father, please provide my friend, and brother in your Son Jesus' Christ's name with the financial aide he and his wife need to sustain themselves here in this world. Let the social security administration personnel recognize their genuine and honest need for assistant and act in a timely manner to expidite their case. I also ask Father, that you allow his employer to turn a blind eye to his name should layoffs occur within his job. Please send your Holy Spirit to help guide them, both his employer and the social security worker, to do what is needed to help my brother continue to provide a living and home for his family. I ask this humbly in Your Son's, Jesus Christ's precious name, amen. :crosseo:

I'm never too busy to send out prayers for others. That and I enjoy keeping a dialouge with my Heavenly Father.

We just received a letter from the SS Admin. They have denied my wife the benefits that she is entitled to. So now we begin the process of appealing the decision and taking the SSA to court. We of course plan to get one of those lawyers that specilize in Social Security Law. Please continue to pray for us as we go through this process that we do not loose heart and that God provides us the benefits. :groupray: :prayer: :crossrc: I am convinced that the Social Security Admin hires case workers for the sole purpose of denying benefits.

cajunhillbilly,

i'm so sorry to hear about your bad news...i will continue to pray for your situation to improve..and you know, our Government must be in close talks with yours about more than fighting in Iraq, because there are a vast amount of situations over here in England that echo that which you describe.

God Bless you and your wife
