I had a falling out with a friend earlier this summer and after some time apart tried a few times to reach out to this friend to try to renew the friendship or talk. The friend never did respond to me directly but decided to have a mutual friend reach out instead. The mutual friend told me that the other person wants me to let them go and not try to engage with them again. I’m very hurt hearing this as we had a close friendship for 6 years and a big reason it fell apart is due to their relationship with a guy who is struggling with meth addiction. I feel really heartbroken hearing this as I had always been there to provide emotional support when the relationship was rocky and just hurting after hearing this. I’m going to respect this person’s decision and not reach out again but asking for prayers that I can move forward and heal from this.
