I don't post here much any more, but we sure could use a bunch of prayer right now!!!
At the end of May our congregation was contacted about a teenage messianic boy in foster care who is in need of an adoptive home. My husband and I started the adoption process in Sept of 2010, but were counseled that adopting an older child into our Torah observant lifestyle would be too hard for a child so we put everything on hold, with a promise to ourselves and G-d that we would be open to taking in any child he placed in our path.
Our children our 8 & 6 years old (yes some of you were praying for us when our youngest was born) and adding a 16 year old is a big step for us. Our home study visit was this past Tuesday and it went well except for one thing - our finances. Hubby's pay was cut by 50% the start of May, and we actually had anonymous people donate the money for the home study because we couldn't afford it. (Big Miracle - $2000 in two days!)
I have been a stay-at-home mom since my children were born, but every since hubby's pay cut both of us have been looking for employment without any positive results.
So we need another miracle from G-d and are trusting that he hasn't done all the other miracles surrounding this adoption to let it all fall flat at the last minute.
Please pray that either hubby will have a better job (the most ideal situation in our view) or that I will have at least part-time employment enough to make up the $600 difference the state wants to see in order for us to adopt. Oh and did I mention this all has to happen by this Tuesday (7/17/12) which is why this is going to be another MIRACLE.
