I have a really good friend, whom I met in the hospital when I was there this past summer... she is a wonderful girl and has been through so much. In short, she has been abused - in different ways - by both her father and her husband (whom she loves very much, and who has been her best friend since they were eleven) - and has been abandoned by her mother, and now her husband.
After abusing her and pretty much causing the chain of events that led to her being hospitalized, he worked hard in therapy to get better (addictions)... but recently moved about 400 miles away for a "separation." She has been struggling so much since then, since she is alone nearly 24/7 and misses him, and has hardly any outside contact.
Yet, even though she loves him, she hates him, because of all of the pain he has caused her. She struggles with this as well.
He is coming to visit her tonight. That is what I want you to pray about, if you could... please. Even just five minutes today. Ask God to give her the strength to go through this meeting, to help him be what he needs to be tonight and say the things he needs to say...
...and pray that they heal, whether together or separate. I don't know what would be best for them and their relationship, but I do know that God knows best... and she is seeking His will. Pray that she stays strong even through these hard times. She means so much to me and has been such a good friend to me - I don't want her to hurt any more than she "has" to.
