Prayer request

Hi guys,

I have a prayer request:

I'll expecting to enter the Church next month on the 14th of December!!

I can finally receive the sacraments of Eucharist, Confirmation and Penance! However, I have a slight problem: I need to get some kind of baptismal record to validate my baptism.

Unfortunately, my old church doesn't keep a record of baptisms. Please pray that this won't hinder my entrance into the Church!

What if you cannot produce a record? Would they accept an affidavit from a couple of witnesses (like your parents, maybe)?

I'll be praying Hoonbaba, and I recommend that you "place a call" with St. Anthony of Padua... this is his speciality.

As for this being a problem, can't they conditionally baptise you at the same time, rendering this a moot point?

my mother-in-law had the same problem when she needed her baptismal certificate for something but her old Church had burned down and lost all the records. i forgot what she did but she didn't seem to have that much of a problem. i hope you don't have too many hoops to jump through many hoops...

Can't they conditionally baptize you if they can't find it? Is there a reason your parish is doing this in December and not at Easter?
