Prayer Request

[KC Catholic]

Hello All ~

I am in deep need of prayer. We are really being challenged in our home with a lot of different issues and I am really, really filled with dispair. Things are very tough right now and I really feel like we're under spiritual attack.

I know we're very vulnerable and I cannot get motivated to pray, I find myself drifting. Let's just say the internet is a place where idle minds and someone off the path is a spiritually dangerous combination.

I am going to make every effort to stay around here every day while working from home and when I am on the road.

I don't mean to sound dramatic - but I need my spiritual family for support right now.

May prayers are with you and your family. In your efforts to reach out, don't forget to reach up.

Don't get too hung up on the prayer thing. I know it is difficult, I've been there too. The only thing that helps me is to be totally honest with God. When I get to the point I think you are at I just say
"God, I can't do this any longer. I am tired and I'm weak. I've tried it my way. I'm ready to try it your way. God ... help me."
That's usually all I can muster. But it helps. Total honesty.

You are in my prayers too. St. Michael is a great ally when being attacked spiritually. I will be asking him to pray to God too.

Remember too that in such times, the Sacraments of Confession and Communion are there just waiting to fill you with graces and strength.
