I am not sure how to do this prayer request anywhere else, because i am still a little confused when it comes to getting around this site...anyways i would like people to please pray for Canada, there is a bill being past very soon that can shut christians up completely by throwing them into jail up to 5 years. The only crime is to have scriptures such as Roman 1 that speaks against homosexuality. The bill is called bill c-250. Even without this bill christians can still face a sentance up to 2 years or pay a fine.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is an urban legend; I've personally been following this series of events and no such bill for that purpose exists.

well even so, there are other countrys like India where being Christian is a punishable crime.
