Please pray for me that I can overcome a personal addiction that I am dealing with. Also, today I will be going to a friends baby shower. I'm very shy and often don't know what to say when meeting new people, and I have very bad eye contact ( my eyes wander or I look down when I feel like someone is looking at me), and this is very embarrasing since I am 23 and a mom and should be a confident person but I'm not. Please pray the lord will help me overcome this personal addiction I have and to also help me do at least ok during her baby shower.

This may sound odd - but I have had the same problem... and something that helps me enormously with the 'eye contact' thing is to look at people's mouths, rather than their eyes... sounds stupid, but they can't actually tell the difference, and it makes me a lot less 'squirmy' about it...

Jesus, please help vardela to overcome this addiction and to be able to be okay socially at the baby shower and not to fear or be socially too shy. Increase her ability to feel at ease and give her strength and confidence. Amen.
