  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am swallowing my pride today to ask you all to pray for me. Two months ago I went to my doctor complaining of sore hands and feet and she ran an ANA test on me which came back very positive. The test results along with my specific symptoms mean that I either have Rheumatoid arthritis or Lupus. Both are autoimmune disorders.

For two months I have been a rock for my family. (I'm a single mom). I have not even let the thought of this disease into my head for more than a minute because I need to be strong for my daughters.

Well my appointment with the specialist who will determine my diagnosis is this Monday, the 16th and I'm sitting here at work full of fear all of a sudden. I have not been able to stop crying since last night. It's like I've been trying to stop a dam from overflowing and now it's out in full force.

I honestly don't know what I need in terms of prayer. I know we cannot pray for something not to happen since it may be God's will, but please help me to know that God is with me and that I'm not alone. This is the scariest thing I've had to go through in my life. Thanks.

Well I can assure you that you are not alone. You have your girls and the Lord is definitely beside you. Your going to be fine, so stay strong, wipe away those tears, and rejoice knowing that the Lord is going to take care of you. Praise God because He is able. The doctors may tell you one thing but Jesus can do another.

Father, we ask that you heal her Lord. Take away the fear and hurt she is experiencing. Reassure her of your presence and fill her with the Holy Spirit. Lord we know that You can do anything, so we ask that You restore her completely. Give her strength, courage, and faith to fight on and know the victory is near. Thank you Jesus. In Jesus name Amen.

Praying for you Caroline. :prayer:

It can be a relief to know what you have and being able to start treatment.

It is the not knowing that can be stressful - which is what you are experiencing right now. :prayer:

PS I have had RA since age 2 and it is getting really bad again
I can point you to some links to understand it if that is diagonised

Dear child of the Lord, you do not need to swallow your pride, this is what the Lord is with us for, to help in times of need, so don't feel bad about it. The Lord is also here to heal you, and in whatever way he will do. Give him your fear and anxiety about the situation, as he knows the answer you'll get on Monday. When fear and worry come lay it at the Lords feet. Read chapters in Psalms to encourage and help you.

You guys are amazing and I'm in awe at the power of prayer. I went to my appointment and after examining me the specialist said I don't have Rheumatoid Arthritis or Lupus and he thinks the blood tests were just some flukey thing. I do have a few problems but they are easily curable so I am very thankful to all of you for your kind thoughts and excellent prayers! God is so great!!!!!:amen:

Hello sweetcaroline,
I'm so happy for you, and for your little children. God is so great. I'm so glad everything turned out so well and that you will be fine. I will pray for continued success in your health. Thank you for letting us know about you being sick and needing prayers, sometimes asking for them is hard. But in asking you bring much more strength, and prayers for your need. God bless you and your family.

My sister crys out to you Lord with this disease that she may have Lord. Lord we know that you are the great physician and you are a miracle worker Lord. You healed me Father. I know that you can touch my sister in Christ and heal her Lord. Lord you can take and turn those test around, where to she has nothing. Lord this sister of mine is the rock of her family Lord. She is the one that never ask for prayer Lord. She is the one that is usually praying for others Lord. Lord she crys out in fear now Lord for you help Father. Give her the peace and comfort that she needs from you Lord. Lord touch her body and take away any sickness or diseases that she may have Lord. You said by your stripes we are healed. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN!:amen:
