A young, 17 yr old member of my ETF team lost his grandmother. If you have a spare prayer for him and his family, it would be much appreciated.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I pray for this family, Father, who has lost their mother, their grandmother, and a friend. Comfort them during this time of loss, and let them know You are there.

Jesus is the lilly in the valley. The Lilly isn't meant to be hoarded but put on display for it's beauty in an unseemingly place. Prayers are meant to be shared, not hoarded thus demonstrating Christ within the prayer. I don't have a 'spare' prayer, but I have one from the heart praying for your team member to know the grace that only God can give when walking through the valley. The Lilly is in every valley...

Praying for all family members to be filled with the Lords comfort. To bless them with wonderful memories of her, that bring smiles to there faces and to cherish what she is and always will be to them. She is now with them in spirit but in a wonderful place with our Lord and Savior. (I pray she was a Christian, if not please let me know). May God bring peace to this family and all of her loved ones.

Guys, you don't know how much this means to me. I just registered to thank you guys for your kindness, I've never really witnessed any sort of human kindness this great before in my life. Just.. thanks.. it really does mean a lot to me. Left Croc some messages on his IRC saying that this made me happier just thinking that some people somewhere would think and pray for my family and I, it seems like everything I ever have asked for was just answered, it was just clear that I feel like I could trust some aspect of humanity again. Again, thanks for your kindness and maybe some day I might try to believe again..
