  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey guys!
I wanted to post to request prayer for my SO and I.
We have sorta fallen back a bit from God. We still .
church as well as pray and study our Bible, however we just feel somewhat distant from God at the moment.
We are both praying to find the passion again but are having difficulty.
We would really appreciate prayers so we can get back on track.
Anyone have any advice or scripture to help us find that passion back?
God is very important in our relationship. Especially since he will be moving back to school next week and we will be sperated!
Thanks in advance!

This could be the time to rediscover what drew you two to the Lord at first. I'd take this opportunity for some quiet time for the two of you and draw closer to the Lord.

Remember that your relationship with God is between you and God, not between you, God and your S.O. Having your relationship right with God is the most important thing. Work on that first and foremost.
Oh we are very aware of that. We are currently working seperately.
I was more bring him into since he needs prayer as well since we are on basically the same page and it is crucial to our relationship together that we are right with God. :)

I will definitely be praying for you. I think this passage of Scripture is the most beautiful passage in the Word tha illustrates that passion for Christ:

Mark 14:3-9

"And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box and poured it on His head. And there were some that had indignation within themselvse, and said, Why was this waste of ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
And Jesus said,
Let her alone; why trouble ye her? She hath wrought a good work on me. For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will may do them good: but me ye have not always.
She hath done what she could: she come beforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
Verily I say unti you, wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her."
