Hi everyone, I'm really needing prayer right now.

We had my daughter's 3rd birthday party yesterday and I realized just how much she is passing our son in speech and comprehension. I'm just really struggling with this right now and feeling like I'm grieving all over again.

You may have read my thread about bikes...We've been trying to teach James to ride a bike for 2 years now and he just wasn't getting it so we got my niece's old bike, a two wheeler and put training wheels on it. After struggling for two years with this peddling thing...he did it today. So I got to watch him and his little sister ride their bikes together for about 2 hours. God must have been saving this for today so that I would be able to see His power!

I know that we still have a long way to go and I really do appreciate your prayers.

oh that is so wonderful. I am glad that you are feeling a little better. I know how much pain it is to part with the dream you have for your child. I go through it every day.

I will pray too , Its great that James is now riding a bike ! My kids don't know how or understand the concept.......errr ehh ! even there own mother dosen't know how to ride a bike...........shhhh ! keep that a secret though lol !.

My kids are 3 and almost 6 but are autistic and very much like an 18 month too 2 yr old in most things in their minds.

So I understand the greiving part but God has a purpose and a plan for them and for my husband and I and thats what I hold onto !

Now if I can only get my 3 yr old too sleep its 12;30 am and she has pre school today ..... oy !

Seems like we always take a step forward and then two steps back. Those steps back are rough but I personally think the bike thing is a couple steps forward so good for James. My seven year old son just learned to ride this year and it was a process and a half. He has a helmet like you wouldn't believe and wear's ALL the safety gear. He is just so accident prone (the kid can be standing still in the middle of the room and suddenly fall over) but so far he has done just fine and is learning how to find the softest spots to fall into

Now my baby, less than 2 years old, is speaking in full sentences and having conversations with us, while her 5 year old brother still can't pronounce common words. So needless to say, I understand.

It will be okay. The Lord never gives us anything we can't handle. I will hold you up in prayer.
