  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Help!! I know this is small, but, it needs prayer! My dog had a seizure this morning. She's been very disoriented today. She hasn't been playing or anything. We don't know how bad it is, yet. We took her to the vet today and they did blood work on her. We'll find out tomorrow what it is. I don't want to lose my dog. I don't know if I can handle it. :sigh::(:(:help:
Please pray for her!!
In Christ,
Rachel

Hang in there, Rachel. I'm praying for you. How old is your dog? If she's around two years old, it could be epilepsy, which is manageable with medication. I hope she'll be alright - I understand how hard this is. I had to put my little 16-year old dog to sleep two weeks ago and although God is good and everything went peacefully and easily, I still miss that sweet little face. Let us know how it went...

Wolflily, she is 2.She's still not quite "there" right now. She hasn't really slept last night either. She'll just go walking around the house. But, we'll find out today what's going on. It probably is epilepsy. I've heard about epilepsy in dogs. Wasn't sure if it was anything serious, though. Btw, I'm so sorry about your dog. I understand that. I had a dog before this one and we had to put him to sleep when he was 14. He had an assortment of problems. At least he's not suffering anymore, and niether is your dog!:) I've always wondered if pets go to heaven. Does anyone know? I know this is totally off my own topic, but I've been wondering about it. Btw, thanks, everyone for praying for me!!

I'm looking forward to hearing the results - if it is epilepsy, it is treatable. Unlike seizures in older dogs, which can often indicate brain tumors or neurological difficulties, epilepsy often hits dogs right around two.

Thank you for the warm message about my little girl. I miss her but I know she's no longer in discomfort. (Her kidney's finally went) I wonder a lot about that subject, too. The Bible isn't exactly clear about it although Christian tradition holds that animals don't have "souls". I had an image of Jesus taking Daisy out of my arms as she passed away last week, so I hope she's with the Lord now and my previous dog, bouncing around heaven keeping everyone laughing. My hope is that, if it's possible, my pets will be in heaven when I get there. But if not, God promises that heaven will be so far beyond our wildest imaginings and that we will be so overwhelmed by His presence, love, and glory that all these things of earth won't matter anymore. Either way, it's all good!

Have a good day...

Hey!
Just want to give you the updates on my dog, in case you were wondering. She is back to her old, hyper self!:D She hasn't had any more seizures. All she needs is some medicine. btw, wolflily, that was cool how you had that image of Jesus taking your dog into His arms.
Have a great day everyone!
In Christ,
Rachel
