I had to go to the hospital overnight two days ago because I was having terrible vomiting and contractions and back pain. They gave me medicine to stop the contractions, but I was unable to keep even water down. They discovered that I was severely dehydrated, and put me on an IV. They kept having to change the IV bag because my ketones, whatever they are, were indicating that I was still not hydrating. They did every test known to man it seems and found a UTI, but said that is secondary to the dehydration.
Anyway, after I was able to keep grape juice down, they let me go home. In another week if contractions as severe as before happen they more than likely won't stop them. They still aren't sure what caused the dehydration in the first place, so it could happen again.
I just feel like the stuff ya scrape off your feet when ya come in from the rain. I am wiped out, can't move, can't breathe, and I am so tired of drinking water.
I am also kinda worried and scared that something will happen or that I am doing something wrong.
On the praise front, I now know what a contraction feels like, have met lots of hospital staff, and have faced my worst fear of having something happen when I was by myself. God is good.
