Hi all,

sorry for slipping off the face of the planet - and what a time to go missing! WOW!!!!

Jazzbird... yay you! I am SO stoked. I too have lost 2 wee ones, and even with my gorgeous dorta in the middle, I find it really rough to rest in God's tenderness, knowing that He is in control, no matter what. I do just commit this tiny babe to his/her loving eternal Father, asking that He'd knit her/him with such love and mercy, blessing his/her mommy, and filling you with confidence and assurance that comes from His Spirit alone. Bless ya socks off!!!!

Well done, Carrie! Enjoy this exciting time and know God's grace each day, I pray.

I love spring - where to start!!! So glad your blood test went well. The name thing is unsettling isn't it? My DH speaks about the name "Samuel" for his son (who we don't have!) and even though I like it just fine, it doesn't make my heart soar, and hey - we're Christians. No matter where we go, there's always gonna be a bunch of Samuel's around (there's more than 7 in our church and social network - all kids). Our dorta's name (Miranda Louise) was a real gift from God. We had it well before her conception, and never had another name - no back up boys name either. If anyone else had used it, I wouldn't have cared (okay, I would have cared BIG time, but I still would've used it!!!). LOL.

I just wrote a huge post about names, but decided to wipe it - after all, this is a thread for prayer. Still, if someone starts a thread elsewhere (and I find it!), I've got a hundred stories!

Nice to meet you, Munchkinprincess. I pray that the Lord will open your womb, and also lead you to exactly the right process for you in order to bring about the blessing of a child.

As for us, we started temping this month for the first time. I am using paper charts, Fertility Friend and (just for good measure!) Ovusoft charts, too. All this in order to find out if I'm actually ovulating. Both software progs say I have, but disagree on the date. Time will prove it I suppose, but at the moment I am (perhaps) between 7 and 9 DPO. I don't plan on testing until at least 14 DPO - so maybe this time next week.

Please pray, if God leads, that my husband and I will know His peace and contentment, whatever the circumstances. We eagerly want another child, actually more than one - but not all at once!, but we want God to be in the driver's seat. Pray that He will help us to be the best parents we can be for our dorta, and that we would know and walk in His plans for us.

Thanks so much for your prayers,
Ruby

Sorry that it seems like I disappeared for a while, but I'm back!

Congratulations, Jazzbird!! Please don't stress, I know that can sometimes lead to a miscarriage (as I'm sure you already know). I will be praying for you.:prayer:

Thanks everyone for all your warm wishes, welcomes, and prayers. :) I went on a women's retreat this past weekend and finally shared my fertility problems with the women that went with me. I was kind of keeping it to myself because it is such a personal issue. But, now that I have you all praying for me and also those women, (and myself of course) I know that I have a strong support and prayer group. The one woman was telling me about her niece and her problems, which are similar to mine. I love hearing stories where a woman is told by her doctor that she will never concieve and they do in fact concieve. It gives me such hope...not to mention the hope that God gives me.
Like I always say...modern medicine has NOTHING on the power of our all-mighty God.

Hey girls. I just wanted to let you know that I had some lab work done this morning. My prog. is 29.6 and the nurse says that is very good. (Hurray for natural progesteron cream)! My beta is 369. I go back Friday for another draw to make sure the beta is doubling. I think it is in the normal range. I will feel much more confident once I know they are doubling.

Hi Girls. I just realized that I never let you know that everything looked good with my second test. I have an ultrasound on the 20th to check for a heartbeat. If the little one has one, I feel that I will finally be able to relax into this pregnancy.

Ruby - How is charting going for you?

How are the rest of you doing?

HI everyone, this is my first time here and I've read through the whole thread. Congratulations for Carrie and Jazzbird! That is wonderful news! God's blessings on all the ladies here.:crossrc: :crossrc: :crossrc: :crossrc: :crossrc: :crossrc: :crossrc: May He grant you the gift of life.   In Jesus' name. Amen.

Some of what you ladies are saying is like a foreign language to me but I'm sure I'll catch on.
I have been married for 6 weeks now and my husband and I would very much like to have a baby. I feel the concern of time unlike most of you though as I will be 37 in a month. I know that women have babies older than that all the time but it is still a concern of mine. Also, we have just had a twelve year old wrench thrown into our plans... We suddenly have very few opportunites to have sex anymore as we have recently (this week) taken emegency temporary custody of our nephew.

I had a pregnancy when I was 17 and ended it myself but nothing since then. ( Have not tried to become pregnant though)

I'm pretty ignorant in this area. Any tips? Any website recommendations?

Hi all,

Welcome , New Creation. The website for Ovusoft is www.tcoyf.com - from the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". I'd recommend it, and it can be purchased really cheaply on eBay and possibly other online book stores too.

I've been "avoiding" the boards - been really busy, and also pregnant. Got my positive test on Mother's Day, about 13 DPO. We're not telling anyone (so you gals know and my mother doesn't!!!), and I guess I wouldn't have told here except my husband and I are heading into town for an ultrasound to ensure it isn't ectopic. I had an incredibly painful shoulder (possible referred pain) last night, and an uncomfortable abdominal pain this afternoon. Please pray that this isn't a tubal pregnancy, and that God's hand would be upon us.

Really appreciate it, and I'm sorry to share my great news in a less-than-enthusiastic way!!! I've been happy/content/excited/nervous/hopeful up until now, and I guess I am just stunned to think that it could be a whole "new and different" way to end a pregnancy. I hope this doesn't sound defeatist; I guess i am just stunned at the moment - your prayers very, very appreciated.

In Him,
Ruby

Ruby how wonderful! I am praying that the ultrasound will prove that your baby is nestled in where s/he should be. Let us know how things are going.

New Creation - what an exciting time in your life. As the other girls have said, I highly recommend Taking Charge of Your Fertility as a resource. Charting your cycles can help you acheive pregnancy much faster since you have a better idea of when you are ovulating. There are so many women on that forum who are TTC or pregnant, and it is a great resource for asking questions or joining a buddy group.

Hey girls. I just wanted to let you know that the ultrasound didn't go well, and I am expecting to start miscarrying. The Doctor said that we will do tests to find out what is going on once all this is over. I could really use some prayers.

I'm okay. It hasn't really sunk in. Nothing is happening. I haven't had any spotting or anything. I am supposed to go back for another ultrasound on Tuesday if I haven't started bleeding. He wanted to check again because he said my calculations could have been wrong, but they would have had to be wrong by two weeks, and I took a pregnancy test before my period was even late, so that is not possible. So, I knew since last Friday that I would miscarry for sure. Today on the fertility forum I go to, one woman told me that occasionally the baby will "hide" and a six or seven week ultrasound won't pick it up. It happened to her, and she was told she had a blighted ovum, but a couple weeks later she had another u/s and there was a heartbeat, but then she ended up miscarrying after that. So, all that to say that there may be a teeny-tiny chance that everything is okay, but I know it is highly unlikely. I think it is probably very uncommon for a 7 week ultrasound not to see the baby. Before I had absolutely no hope for this one, but now I have a small amount, but I am afraid that is just going to get dashed to pieces in a few days. I kinda wish I didn't know about the possibility because I'll just be disappointed when I see that nothing has changed next week. *sigh* This all sounds like a jumble, and I don't even know if it makes sense. Oh well. :sorry: So, I'm making it through the week.

I got all excited for you Spring when I saw your thread about symptoms. It sounds like it ended up being a no-go for this month though, huh? Don't get discouraged. I'm sending some prayers out your way.

I don't want to give you false hope jazzbird, but my OB said they do the first ultrasound at 8 wks because they usually don't see the baby before then. Try to take care of yourself and not stress too badly. You'll continue to be in my prayers.
