CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It's just a benign tumor. Benign!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could I ask for prayers?
Tomorrow afternoon I take my son to the eyedoctor. He has been seeing this specialist since he was an infant. At 5 he had surgery that now needs to be tweaked. Before the surgery he wore glasses, after he didn't need to.
The doctor has been telling us for years that it needs to be done but not 'right now'. Well his vision is starting to be affected so I am pretty sure 'right now' is here.
At 5 it was tougher on me than him because he didn't really know what was happening. At 14, I think it will be tougher on him.

Please pray for me. I guy backed into my van with his truck. Please pray that all goes well and that his insurance covers the fix.

I was backed into a little over a year ago and the other insurance company was wonderful.
They totaled it but that was because it was worth less than it would have cost to fix it because it is an older Saturn with really low miles and was in great condition. But with the money I was able to fix it and get a salvage title and she is still going strong.
The salvage title will only make a difference if I decide to sell it and don't see that happening any time soon.
Praying your dealings go smoothly and quickly too. I had my check in 10 days...

So I let C go back the first time by himself and the doc tells him he needs the surgery but it is up to him when he is going to have it because he is older now and can make that decision. He didn't tell me the doc said that.
Then he has to wait 30 minutes for his eyes to dialate and I go back with him then. He talks to C some more about how it is short surgery, at the hospital and there is just a little discomfort after and how his eyes will be all red but it's not that bad. Tells him he can make up some tall tale about how his eyes got that way
He also gives me a prescription for glasses. I brought it with because I will get him a pair closer to home.
I am kicking myself for not asking him if the surgery would make it so he doesn't have to wear glasses like last time.
On the way home I talked to him about getting it done sooner rather than later and basically give him the choice between spring break and summer vacation. He told me I can call and see if there is an appointment time open during spring break.
I will call tomorrow and ask about the glasses and see if I can get him in for the surgery.
Now that I am ok with it, I just want to get it over and done with

The other driver and I are with the same parent company. At this point I'm just waiting for the insurance adjuster to come out and take a look. I'll keep you all updated. Thanks for asking!

Hey all. I'm feeling stressed. This insurance claim is a mess! The other party feels the accident was not completely his fault - even though he backed into my van while I was at a standstill. I should find out tomorrow what the insurance decides to do about liability. I just hate this kind of stuff! Please pray for me and for the other party as well.

I can understand the apprehension. I've thought about the lazar correction eye surgery, but I'm too chicken so I just wear glasses

I saw that you were from Covington and I thought "Covington! That's just across the river from me! I could go and sit with her if she wanted me to do so."
Then I noticed that it's Covington, WASHINGTON and not Covington, KENTUCKY.
