CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just wanted to give an update on our situation...
Our son is doing MUCH better in school! He is happier, getting more work done, fully engaged, and even helping out in the classroom! He still talks a lot, and is out of his seat a lot, but I'm sure those will calm down with time. I really think the medicine has helped. I don't really see a change at home, because the medicine wears off about a half hour after he gets home. That is what the doctor had told us even before we started giving it to him, so I was prepared for it. He also said that this type of medicine doesn't build up in the system, which I believe is a good thing too. I am just so relieved that everything seems to be working out much better now!

I'm glad to hear things are going well.
If you all would pray for my daughter...
Here meds don't seem to be helping. She's having a lot of trouble at school. When she's disciplined at school, she laughs or seems not to care at all. She's only 6 years old and in kindergarten, so these issues are a major concern for our family.

Please pray for my parents' best friends, Margie and C.E. Their son shot himself yesterday afternoon and last we heard, he was taken off life support. They have been facing some other hard challenges and Margie is very fragile, so my parents are understandably concerned and upset and will be following them the 350 miles north of here to help them as much as humanly possible through this tragedy.
Their son's wife had left him just before Christmas. He leaves behind 4 children.

I just got off the phone with our neighbor, Helga. She is sick with pneumonia and her boyfriend has completely forsaken her. She is asking for people to pray for both her health and the heartache she is feeling. It is my personal prayer that God will heal her and bring her into the relationship that he desires for her.
