By the love you had for Jesus and Mary on earth, I ask you to console me in my distress and present to our heavenly Father my request.

Lord, give me the spirit of Joseph so that even amid my own hardships I can look beyond myself and reach out to others who are alone and suffering and thus be an instrument of your love and compassion.
