Prayer for My Move

Hi DD,

The moving of my furniture was completed in less than an hour. All my furniture fit in the bed of my friend's truck and I only had two guys doing the work. It felt GREAT getting my big stuff in there. All I'll need to move later this week is my computer, tv, a small bookcase, and my futon mattress.I have stuff in the kitchen and my closet but I can't move those things until there's open space for it in the new place.

Thank you so much for your prayers!!! Now I could use prayer for all the administrative stuff that goes into a move. Stuff like remembering to change my address with all the places I need to; getting cable/internet access for a reasonable price; getting a cell phone with a calling plan that is good for me (I'm not going to get a land line since I rarely use the phone). I'd also like prayer for this last week in my old place. I want to spend time in the Spirit alone with God.

Your prayers are blessing me beyond belief.

Hi DD,

I got my cell phone yesterday and made a list of all the businesses with whom I need to change my address. I thought I had accomplished a lot when I got my furniture moved... but once again, you were right. I forgot all the little piddly things in my kitchen, under the sink, and just stuff that's hanging around. I didn't forget it per say... I just figured there'd be a ton of time to pack it. I also have a mountain of dirty clothes to wash. While I don't regret keeping my tv, futon mattress, chair, and my computer... I'm going to have to hoist this stuff down a flight of stairs.

I only moved my furniture this past Sunday because that was the only time Chuck could help me move and he had the truck. Now I'm looking at everything that's left and all I have to do... oi vay. When I get off work tomorrow I plan to haul as much as I can to my new place. Thursday I have a doctor's appointment until 6pm. Friday I teach a computer class after school until 5pm. I plan to sleep in my place Friday night and be officially out May 1st.

Pray that I get everything done without feeling overwhelmed.
