  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi Everyone,

My 75 year old father had a minor stroke yesterday. He's going to be in the hospital for a few days while they run some tests.

His health has been declining over the past several years. Please pray for healing, strength and peace. He walked away from church and God about 20 years ago. I don't know if he's saved. His father was a Methodist Minister and he felt a lot of pressure growing up. Please pray for his salvation as well. His name is Dave.

Thank you all very much. I appreciate all your prayers and knowing I can come here for support from fellow believers.

In Christ,

WashedClean

Lord, I lift up Dave in prayer and ask that You open the windows of his heart. Lord I ask that You shower Your wisdom on this person. I ask that You guide his footsteps and bring him back to You Lord. I pray for Your precious healing, strength and peace. Lord only You can bring this person back to You. Please forgive all his sins...Thank You Lord for answered prayers in advance. In the name of Jesus "Amen"

Father, I lift up Dave and his family to you.

"If a shepard has one hundred sheep, and one wanders away and is lost, what will he do? Won't he leave the ninety-nine others and go out into the hills to search for the lost one? And if he finds it, he will surely rejoice over it more than over the ninety-nine that didn't wander away!" Matt 18:12,13
