O God, who by the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, didst prepare a worthy dwelling place for thy Son, we beseech thee that, as by the foreseen death of this, thy Son, thou didst preserve her from all stain, so too thou wouldst permit us, purified through her intercession, to come unto thee. Through the same Lord Jesus Christ, thy Son, who livest and reignest with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end. Amen.

Day Six Intentions: Pray for humility, the ability to set aside yourself and your self-willed desires and allow God’s will to work in your life so that you can achieve what He made you for.

Conclude daily: O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to you, those who do not have recourse to you, enemies of the Holy Catholic Church, and all those recommended to you. Amen.

We ask all this in the Name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Saviour. Amen

We don't realize how much alcohol and drugs effects us even if we don't drink ourselves. I didn't realize how much this effects us all.

Day Seven Intentions: Pray for Faith, the conviction that there is a future without drinking and drugging, and that a life without the addiction is a far better one than a life drinking and using.

or how many alcoholics we know. we are de-sensitized to it and everyone makes like its no big deal.

there are a few different folks I know that continue to drink and drive and thus, are putting others at risk. I pray for conviction to have them stop this and not just for fear of them going to jail but out of concern for the safety of the public. (Two, they're siblings, was just released from jail due to DWIs).

Alcoholism comes thru trauma from childhood - usually.

Day Eight Intentions: Pray for Mercy:

James 2:13: “For the judgment is merciless to one who has not shown mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.”

Pray that mercy be shown to you by those you have hurt in your addiction, and pray also that you may show others the same mercy when they hurt you.

Remember in the prayer that Jesus taught His disciples that we are to expect forgiveness from God only inasmuch as we forgive others. This is hard, at least try to embrace the concept.

Day Nine Intentions: The general intentions for the alcoholic you are praying for.

Whether a loved one or yourself. Get quiet, listen to that quiet, and try and hear what God is telling you.

Amen. May God cast upon them the utter disgust in drinking again.
May they wake up without the desire as to so much even smell it.

for the families of those who have been killed by drunk drivers. for the souls of those killed and for the alcoholic or anyone who drives drunk. please give them the conviction they need to quit this horrible practice.

That they may stop so it does not damage their livers and bodies. Amen.

The husbands and wives who endure a lot.

Their children who cant seem to have a relationship with them.

Praying for those who drive drunk with their children and the children of others in their vehicles. that they'll stop, be convicted of putting these innocent lives in danger.

For teens who drive drunk and could be killed or kill others.
