Prayer for a request

I revealed something to someone who could start a rumor with it, and such a rumor, although false, would be more than enough to cause people around here to jump to conclusions and me to lose every bit of my hard-earned reputation.

Please pray that this person isn't a gossip. If she is, I could seriously lose everything because no one would believe me in defending myself.

I would believe you
I wanted to tell you that when people start rumors it says absolutely nothing about the person the rumor was started about, but it speaks volumes of the lack of character on the part of the person starting the rumor.
I pray that the person you revealed something to will not start a rumor or gossip, and if they did so I pray that people would not judge you...

I wanted to add over the past year I have really seen you grow in many ways and I hope and pray that God will continue to be a guiding force in your life and that you may rely on his strength and comfort for all of the days of your life...
