CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Thank you ladies. According to the doctors he's now on "borrowed time". That really annoys me. I'm sorry, but I don't believe God hands out "borrowed time".

It's me again.
I'd like to ask everyone to please keep my brother in their prayers as things are becoming a bit rocky and also for my husband because I see so much of how God is working in him (I don't think he sees it though).

Here's an update from the prayer request thread I started. (sorry for the cross post)...
Thank you all, again, for your continued prayers. This is the situation as it stands now...
We met with DH's superintendant on Friday. We thought it would be an opportunity for DH to share his side of what happened and that things would be resolved. She took the opportunity to address past issues and questioned if he were emotionally stable enough to continue working. She disregarded the support DH has received from students and parents and focused on only the negative comments that she's received, including some that are not true. We have not been given the opportunity to view the information she has for or against, so it is difficult for DH to defend himself. We are now at the point where we feel we have to consult a lawyer, which is not something we ever wanted to do.
DH has had anger management issues in the past, as I think I've stated, but he has grown tremendously in the past four years. There was no mention of this in our meeting. Even if DH is returned to work at this point he is not sure he can continue given the current climate.
This is causing a huge strain on our marriage and family. DH is not functioning well, and I am having a very hard time supporting him, and our children are caught in the middle. We are worried about our financial and emotional future, and about how this will affect our children. Also, while these troubles initially brought DH closer to knowing God, at this moment he is feeling dumbstruck and abandoned.
I ask that you all pray that we are able to trust in Christ Jesus that he will see us through this situation, and that all things will work for good. I ask for knowledge and guidance of how to procede, and that we are able to hear God's will. I'm asking for peace of mind, and strength to carry on with our responsibilities as God works things out for us.

Continuing to pray for you Red.
I need to ask for your prayers again. Friday I drove to church to help with the food pantry and then assisted with check in, then drove home again. Yesterday I was hurting a great amount, but this morning I woke up and for the first time in a week have had to take pain meds and I'm hurting as much as when I first had surgery. I'm a bit frightened.... praying I have gas and have no clue I have it. I can't have this happening... I need to get back to work and I can't afford more medical.
