Prayer and Support needed

Hi,

I am happily married. All is ok in my relationship with my wife. However I had an experience last night that troubles me. Occasionally when I go to sleep, I will ask the LORD if he has anything to say to me, and I listen for a response. Last night I had an impression to go and look at inappropriate content, a thing I never do. This puts up a red flag for me, because looking at it logically I can't see a reason why that would be asked of me. It seems like some thing the devil would do. I guess I am thinking, I need to stop listening to that voice. But because it has been a long time habit of praying, I am a little confused. Could you pray with me that what ever this thing is is exposed, that I can with confidence move away from this type of prayer.

Well we can safely say that the Lord does NOT want you to look at inappropriate content. He is testing you.

If I had to guess, I'd say this is the Lord giving you a discernment exercise. Of course, He would never command you to do something that is so obviously a sin. Test the Spirits, as the Bible says.

I will not be listening to that feeling anytime soon. I think I just need to stop asking in that kind of way ... period. If I am getting mixed messages it is not they way to do things.

Seth the Third son of Adam.
Was approached by the one that we call Satan.
He said; "Come forth with me to our plane.
Our wifes are beautiful! There is no shame!
Seth; thy art the Son of Adam.
Thus i wish ye to wed one of my kin!
Come thee, oh seth! Come forth with me!
Come forth with me to our plane!
One girl may come, but the next is tenfold more pretty!
To wed all of them, o Seth! There is no shame!"

And Seth was only nine years of age.
And His mind got a taste of Satan's sin.
He said that He needed to be with His parents.
But that He would meet the Devil here tomorrow again.

"Just come with me! Oh son of Adam.
Come forth with me towards my plane!
It is just as fair as the garden called Eden.
And in this plane is where i, Lightbringer, reigns!
O Seth, come with me, and wed my kin!
Wed a fair bright and lovely maiden.
Come with me, just for a minute.
Come to my to our Eden!

And Seth noticed that He just went on rambling.
And He said: I first need to ask my Father!
"No!" the Devil said "No! Seth, do not ask your father.
For certain it is then that thou shalt not be allowed!
To come with me towards my plane!
Where lovely virgin maidens stay.
Wed anyone, o Adam's son.
Wed anyone that ye shalt meet."

But Seth ran away towards His father.
Who cried and kissed Him on the head.
Though this victory for man came with a price.
Temptation of the thoughts within the head.
