Here's my story.

Proverbs says raise your child in the way they should go and when they are older they won't depart from it. My parents always told me to become a lawyer so I went to law school like they suggested.

Jesus tells us that those who do god's will get into heaven. Before deciding which law school to go to, I prayed that God show me his will on where to go and then someone a few days later told me which route I should go (it was like a messenger from god).

Only problem now is I've graduated law school, haven't been able to get a job, I need to pass the state test in order to work, and I've been so broke that I had to get on food stamps.

God or life has humbled me immensely. NEVER have I imagined that this would be my life. My situation has caused me great depression too. All I want to do is sleep because I'm tired of living my reality. And trust me, I've applied to jobs. I haven't been able to get one.

With all due respect to you please dont focus just on Law career,

Dont be ashamed to apply for labour jobs which needs your service of man power, such as cleaning, cooking, driving, gardening, security, courier, photocopying, etc. consider it for life experience.

you may need to take courses on car/motorcycle service, cooking etc. so you can apply for job at the factory line labours. Just try to find a place which appreciate your workmanship no matter how little as a starter.

I experienced that too brother. My PhD funding was terminated abruptly at Virginia Tech and I was homeless for a while. Then I took up a job in the Kroger Deli and saved that money to go to Anderson University, Indiana to teach College Physics. Eventually, I returned to India and now I invest in America :!).

As another brother has suggested, look for part-time and/or manual labor jobs to tide you over. There is certainly (at least was when I was there) dignity of labor in America. And you'll pass that state test and get your license Mr. Bond :). God bless you brother :)

May the Almighty One conduct you onto the course that is enriching and purposeful in accordance to your needs, as He has set these things for your success. Although, it may seem foggy at a glimpse, His light shall enlighten the way in which you should turn, even if it seems as a lowly start. O Father, please strengthen his heart to keep pressing on to reach the outcome well despite the ill-fated turns that may appear. Ámên & ámên.

Father, this one knows "something" of Proverbs 22:6, yet this has so often been misunderstood, and people have ended up frustrated under this misunderstanding. Law may not even be what You would really have for this one at all. I pray You lead them into Your true will for them, that You protect them and provide for them in all the ways they need at this time. I don't know all that they need prayer for, but You do. So I trust the Holy Spirit to intercede for them, Romans 8:26. Amen.
