There is a predicted outbreak of strong storms today-some with tornadoes. There has already been a reported tornado on the ground. Please pray for the protection of people in the paths of these storms and for the weakening of the storms.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Pray for protection from storms!

The news coming out of Kirksville, Missouri isn't good. I can't confirm this, but the site I got it from would have no reason to lie as I've been watching the storm and warnings on the storm....It's being reported that a tornado has leveled homes in Kirksville, Missouri.

I'm in Springfield MO, and the storms are headed our way, and I have heard on the news that tornados have been on the ground. Praying!

Hope you got out okay Morgaine and anyone else in the paths of these storms. I just the storms here in Arkansas. I got woke up by thunderstorm warnings going off. We got some wind and 1\4-1\2" hail.

We did get through just fine, there was a funnel cloud spotted a few miles from our home, but as far as I know, nothing touched down near us. Very sadly, the tornados that touched down in northern Missouri did take 3 lives (per Fox News). Praying for their families, and all affected by the storms!
