Pray for Minnesota

For the souls of the shooting victims and their grieving families and friends and for everyone there.

2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Dear Lord,
I pray for the people in Minnesota, that You would be there to comfort those who are grieving, and that they will be given time and space to grieve. Help them to understand Your salvation and turn to You in their time of grief, for wisdom is in the house of mourning (Ecclesiastes 7:4). Thank you for their time of leadership, and wisdom be given as to who should succeed them in their position. May the person who has committed this crime be punished for their misdeeds and justice carried out, that all might see Your hand of protection and that the authorities that you have appointed do not bear the sword in vain.
