  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Pray for me please

I suffer with DID. Most of the time I am a Christian. I worship on Saturday and even though I keep the Sabbath I don't condemn anyone who worships on Sunday. Paul tells us not to judge our fellow Christians regarding Sabbaths, New Moons, Holy Days and such. The scripture also says one man esteems one day above the other and the other man esteems all days alike. Let each be persuaded in his own mind. I use the term Freethinker because I do not follow a man (pastor) but my own conscience. Martin Luther was a Freethinker who bucked the established church of his time. Another alter of mine is an skeptic and yet another is a polytheist. I sway from one alter to the next. Right now, I am a skeptic and and am dealing with the baggage that entails. Please pray for me. I can't pray in my current condition because I lack faith but I hope maybe there is someone out there that can pray to Yahweh for me. Thanks.

My friend suffers from DID as well. I pray that God rids you of DID, or at least changes your other personalities to believe in YHWH as well, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Just acknowledge the truth and hold fast to the confession of it.
Forget about trying to believe something or talking yourself into something. Just see these facts and know they are true for you and everyone else. They are true regardless of what you believe. They are true for the unbeliever and believer alike.

Jesus died for our sins, according to the scripture.

This is true regardless of what you or anyone else thinks or believes. It is true for you right now. Don't try to work up some 'faith.' You do not have to. He said it, so it is true. Let the strength of the veracity rest with Him. Just say what He said, "Jesus died for my sins." You are doing nothing but acknowledging what He said, and it is the strength of His integrity that affects your life. No struggle. No grimacing to try to work up some faith. Just acknowledge that He said it, He does not lie, and He knows what He is talking about.

These are all true:

John 1:29 KJV
29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

He did this. Your sins are gone, regardless of what you think or believe. Period.

2 Corinthians 5:18-19 KJV
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

God has reconciled the world unto Himself. He did this. It does not matter what you believe or think. You have been reconciled to God. Period.
Your sins are NOT being imputed (counted) against you. It is over. Does not matter what you believe or think. They are gone. Period.

1 John 2:1-2 KJV
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Your sins have been paid for. It is done. Not just for believers but for the world. Don't try to piece together some belief or faith. Just know it is true. It is done. Your sins have been paid for regardless of what you believe or say. They always have been. Period.
Stop struggling saint. Stop trying to talk yourself into some mental and spiritual construct. Just know these things are true. They are true right now, always have been, and always will be. Fall on them. Let them catch you and carry you. Rest in them like a soft bed. Let them do the work.
"Well, He said He died for our sins, took them away, paid for them in full, and is not counting them against me... It must be true. He does not lie and knows what He is talking about. I will just rest in these facts and simply KNOW THEY ARE TRUE."

We were told in the New Testament that Paul is difficult to understand. I don’t want to get into a debate on this prayer forum about what Paul was trying to say. Though my research indicates that the passage you quoted is very often very misunderstood.

But regardless, Paul ain’t the Lord. He didn’t get to change one single little word or one single rule that the Lord has ordained. And I don’t believe he tried to do that at all.

Paul himself did say that we are not to follow him, but Messiah. What Messiah told us to do is exactly the same as what the Almighty has told us to do. They are one.

The Bible absolutely discourages free thinking.

We are told to have the mind of Christ. To bring every thought captive to him.

We are told that the heart of man is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. People were condemned in the Bible for going around doing whatever they thought was right in their own eyes.

The Bible spells out clearly what is right and what is wrong. But we have to study it. We have to pray over it to understand it. And we have to listen to it.

As far as faith is concerned, we are told how to get it. We are told that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of the Lord. We are also told that it is a gift. We can’t work it up. We have to receive it through the grace of Messiah.

There are all kinds of audios of the Bible, on the net as on YouTube. Favorite them and listen to them a whole heck of a lot.

We are also told that the word of the Lord is living and active. Really the Word does the work. We just listen and pray about what we hear. Don’t stress out about that. Just keep listening and praying.

The biggest concern for me, though, is that you are suffering from DID. I will be praying for you to get free and healed from that.

I pray that God would be with you and convert all of your alters to the saving grace of Christ. I pray that God would make it as easy as possible for you to live with DID or even to miraculously remove it from you.
