My friend Audy has a serious gaming problem. He plays games for hours...and hours... and I think its effecting his health. Sometimes he comes to school in a zomie like state of mind and his eyes are glazed over. Also he carrys an axe in the back of his truck now and repeatedly has convulsions.. Similar to emily in the exorcism of emily rose. What should I do?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Your friend is going to have to want to become free from gambling and other issues in his life. Until Audy does, just keep praying the spirit of deception off of Audy. The reason for the addiction is the need for love. The gambling gives him a thrill and increases seritonin levels to feel better. It is a rush. Just be there for Audy and pray for Audy.

Father, please speak to Audy's heart and deliver him from temptation. Please give him the courage to change and plant the desire to change within him. I pray that You will show him the problem this is becoming and be with him. Thank You for deliverance LORD, in Jesus' name, amen.

Audy is like alot of us that get into gaming.I once read about a boy in the testimony section.I don't know if his post is still there but you can't do anything but pray,hard for Audy. I got into gaming so much in 6th grade my grades fell and I also got headaches,had trouble concentrating,addicted to the games. My parents took all the systems away for 6 months. I felt better,I do feel better and I was mad. I will pray Audy has someone take charge and make this end. It does disrupt some of us. Gaming has to be in moderation. Byeeee!

Working for God, through our Lord.
Convulsions are a well known symptom that goes with long time computer games, looking at flashing screens anything like that, some can be prone to it some not. It also sounds to me hes not sleeping well and playing games till late at night. I'm not sure where the axe comes in unless he is actually trying to live up to his certain games in real life. I think I'd be worried about him.
Lord wether hes a Christian or not I pray that this habit/temptation he has you will bind up in Jesus Name. Amen
